Seduction and the Subject of the Unconscious: Kierkegaard and the Anxious Question of Desire

À partir de textes de Lacan et de Kierkegaard, l’auteur pense la séduction en tant que réponse à l’angoisse. Dans un premier temps, il situe l’angoisse du sujet de l’inconscient en tant qu’expérience impossible du désir de l’Autre. Ensuite, il propose une lecture d’extraits du Journal du Séducteur où la jouissance esthétique de l’écriture sert à maîtriser l’angoisse causée par un surplus de jouissance.
Abstract
Based on readings of Lacan and Kierkegaard, the author thinks of seduction as an answer to anxiety. First, he frames anxiety within the theory of the subject of the unconscious as the impossible experience of the Other’s desire. He then reads excerpts from the Seducer’s Diary where the aesthetic jouissance of writing serves the purpose of mastering the anxiety caused by a surplus of jouissance.
