Matador, Are You Able to Seduce Me?

Résumé
Cet article présente le personnage conceptuel du séducteur et la figure esthétique du matador, à partir de la philosophie de Deleuze et Guattari. La figure du matador suggère de nouvelles approches pour une pensée de la séduction. Rapprocher le couple Johannes-Cordelia (Le Journal du Séducteur) avec celui du taureau et du matador nous permet de penser les limites de la séduction et sa violence. Le personnage conceptuel du séducteur – en ouvrant une porte dans l’exploration du concept de séduction – et la figure esthétique du matador – en nous plongeant dans la passion à l’œuvre dans la séduction et la tauromachie – nous permettent d’approcher la séduction à travers les affects, les percepts et la pensée, exposant ainsi les enjeux de la séduction.
Abstract
This article presents the conceptual persona of the seducer and the aesthetic figure of the matador, following Deleuze and Guattari’s philosophy. The figure of the matador suggests new ways to think about seduction. The superposition of the couple Johannes-Cordelia (The Seducer’s Diary) with the bull and the matador helps us understand the limits of seduction and its violence. The conceptual persona of the seducer - by allowing us to explore the concept of seduction - and the aesthetical figure of the matador - by making us delve into the passion of seduction and bullfights – allow us to approach seduction through affects, percepts and thoughts, denoting what is at stake in seduction.
