Puissance des corps en mouvement dans le tango

Résumé

Dans cet article je vais m’intéresser à la puissance des corps en mouvement dans le tango. Je vais concevoir la puissance comme mouvement qui va au-delà des limites, et comme transformation, à travers le corps. Le corps va apparaître comme une limite, limite individuelle, séparation entre les rôles distincts homme/femme qu’il est amené à remplir dans la danse, et comme une marge qui appelle le mouvement, espace traversé par une dynamique qui va au-delà de soi. La puissance des corps en mouvement sera à travers les limites, puis, elle sera transformation, à travers la matérialité corporelle dans  la représentation, en particulier dans le film Tangos, el exilio de Gardel. Enfin, je vais montrer que le tango est performance de la puissance des corps en mouvement en ce qu’il est en même temps une performance de limites et de leur dépassement.

Abstract

In this article I will study the power of moving bodies in tango. I will conceive this power as a movement that goes beyond limits, and as transformation, through the body. The body is going to appear as a limit, an individual limit, a separation between the distinct roles man/woman that the body has to assume in the dance, and as a margin that invokes movement, a space that is traversed by a dynamic that goes beyond the self. Power of bodies in movement will be beyond the limits, then it will be transformation through corporeal materiality in representation, particularly in the movie Tangos, el exilio de Gardel. Finally, I will demonstrate that tango performs limits and, at the same time, a movement that goes beyond them, tango as a performance of power of bodies in movement.
